NOTE:  Outing policy:  Full refund will only be given for a cancellation notice provided to the

outing host at least one month prior to the event.  No funds will be returned for cancellations

within one month of the outing; however you may arrange to “sell” your spot to another

golfer to recoup your expense.

Hi Members,

As March nears, most of us golfers are looking forward to the season beginning again. We are also REALLY

looking forward to the weather forecasters to stop giving the snow predictions, and start forecasting "Spring-like

temperatures"! The month of March will bring daylight savings time and hopefully busier driving ranges in the

area. When the warmer temperatures get here, local golf courses can begin their spring maintenance schedules

and we can once again get out there and improve our games.

We as the golf committee have finalized the beginning of the schedule and have begun working on remainder

of the 2010 season. We have some familiar courses and will be adding some new venues as well. We are looking

to pick a date to meet at a local driving range as a group to begin honing our skills, but we need the weather to

change for that. The 1st official outing is April 17th at Rolling Greens GC in Newton, NJ. A May 1st outing will

be at Wallkill GC in Middletown, NY, followed by a May 8th outing at Apple Greens GC in Highland, NY. Our

1st weekend event will be at the Delaware Water Gap CC on June 12th and 13th. Finishing the month of June, we

will host our annual Minebrook GC outing on June 26th. And yes, we all know where we go after that outing...

We will be returning to Winding Hills GC on July 10th in Montgomery NY. We are excited about 2 new venues

that will host a day outing and also and new weekend outing site. We hope you will be excited too! On Aug. 7th,

we will be going to The Hudson Valley Resort and Golf Center in Kerhonkson, NY. We are also finalizing plans

to have a weekend event at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in Pa. on the weekend of Aug. 21st and 22nd.

September will bring the very popular weekend event at the Renault Winery Resort in Egg Harbor City, NJ on the

25th and 26th.

Members are reminded to sign up early for our beginning events as they usually fill up early. Your check to the

person running the outing is your "official reservation". We feel the upcoming schedule hosts outings that all level

golfers can attend and enjoy. We are looking for some members to run some of the outings that have been booked;

and of course, will gladly accept any other courses you would like to include in the 2010 season schedule. It's time

to give back to an organization that has provided all of us with an enjoyable golfing season over the years. We will

gladly assist you "step-by-step" in how to run a successful golf outing. Feel free to contact us either by phone or

e-mail or at a dinner or mingle. We are looking forward to warmer weather, the start of the golf season, and sharing

once again in the fun of the NJ-ASGA friendships for 2010.

"The Golf Etiquette Corner"

Following some of these simple guidelines can make golfing more enjoyable for you and all who are on the golf

course with you!

1. SHHH! Always be silent when golfers are hitting and putting.
2. When approaching a green, drive your cart to the back of the green. That way after putting, you walk off the
     back and the group behind you can immediately hit up to the green.
3. Write your score for a hole after you drive to the tee box of the next hole. That will also allow the group
    behind you to immediately hit up to the green.
